Special requirements: Cattle Drives Up and Down the Canyon.

While the herd is in the canyon, we have very strict size requirements for the amount of personal gear we can handle in the pack string. Everything we take must go on pack mules when we take the herd through the canyon. You and a partner will be given one bag (Navy sea bag which we will provide) in which you must STUFF your sleeping bag, clothes, and personal gear for two days. Your coat, slicker, camera, gloves and lunch can be tied onto your saddle. You will share a tent. STUFF your sleeping bag, clothes, and personal gear for two days. Travel Suggestions:

  • Mid-day arrivals and departures work best for you.

  • You need to arrive in Sheridan Wyoming the day before the trip starts.
