Pack Trip

This is the perfect getaway for the hardy souls that want to see the best Mother Nature has to offer, but don't have the time for a cattle drive. You will be seeing a lot of the same scenery as the cattle drives but without 300 crazed yearlings. You will have time to ride and truly be amazed at Mother Nature's wonderland without the dust and noise a herd of cattle can make.

The chances of seeing wildlife are just about guaranteed because it is just you, your horse and all the Mother Nature that you can stand! We will only offer these trips on non cattle drive weeks up until my crew goes back to college sometime around mid August. These are 4 days and 3 night trips that can be moved around in the week to fit your schedule. They are perfect for a family vacation, family reunions, or just to get away.

We can accommodate younger riders on this trip as there are no early mornings and because there are no cattle, the distances during the day can be covered much faster. The first nights camp will be at our Lake Creek Cow camp and from there it is wide open as to what route you will take. If you want the chance to drop a fly in the stream we might go one way, if you want to view lots of wildlife we might go another.

With the shorter days than the cattle drives there is much more time to do things like photography, hiking, fishing, or riding your horse around exploring or just sitting in camp and having another cup of coffee and soaking up the cool mountain breezes, with the slight scent of pine in the background. Whatever you choose to do, it will be 4 days of solitude that will make you forget all of your troubles back home.
